Description
A species with complex patterning mainly in pinkish brown. The pale brown FW with darker reticulation has a crude y-shaped postmedian fascia in darker red-brown. The HW has a darker base with an indistinct median fascia. There appears to be a considerable range in wing pattern, associated with the group of morphotypes that resemble Hypolamprus ornata & H. vinosata, which needs further attention.
Life History
The holotype was found as a larva, feeding on leaves of the kalumpit tree (Terminalia edulis) Combretaceae (LepIndex).
