Taxonomy
Coptobasis sp. 16. A short series from Sabah in the Schulze Soll. near C. microsema Hampson, 1912a: 1268.
Description
A coppery brown sp. with a slight purple sheen. The abdomen is pale brown with pale intersegmental bands near the tip. The FW has a pale elongate stigma in the cell. Both the FW and HW have darker submedian and post median lines. The straight sub-median line forms an acute angle with the FW dorsum. The termen of both wings are edged by a darker brown line and the fringes are brown with a white base. Like Coptobasis sp.16 the antennae have a modified tubular base but the scape is simple.
