Taxonomy
Coptobasis sp. 15. a series from Sabah (PHS) in the Schulze Coll. Taxonomic position uncertain.
Description
A coppery brown sp. with a slight purple sheen. The abdomen is pale brown with an indistinct pale band at the base. Both the FW and HW have indistinct darker submedian and post median lines. The FW post median line is edged distally in white. The antennal bases are modified and tubular with a large peg but the scape slightly flattened intially but distally is simple composed of conical segments. It lacks the distinct pale crescentic stigma on the FW found in Coptobasis microsema and Coptobasis sp. 13 sp. 14 & sp. 16. Schulze (2000) ‘Syllepte sp. 4’ Taxon #436.
