Taxonomy
The holotype of Samea quinquigera Moore, 1888: 207, pl. 7, fig. 14 is from India (Darjeeling). comb. n. to Uresiphita Hübner, 1825 as good sp. (Inoue et al. 1982).

Description
This is a common cream and brown Asian sp., very similar to Ategumia adipalis Lederer, 1863. A. adipalis has a great variabilty of pattern, but the FW is broader [squarer] and the apices are more rounded than in this sp. where the wings are more elongate and the apices are pointed. The abdomen has a pale base and in the male it is elongated and the protruding valvae have short dark hair scales.
