Taxonomy
Pagyda sp. 1 nr P. poeasalis Walker, 1859: 717. Specimens from Sabah (A single specimen in the Schulze Coll. from the Crocker Range N.P.). Others in ITBC Borneensis and the FRC Sepilok Coll. from the Mt. Kinabalu area.
Description
Primarily pale fulvous with darker orange lineation. The antemedian line is smoothly curved and only slightly serate. Note the faint purplish sufused border area on the termenae of both FW & HW. The forelegs are distinctively white banded in ginger near the joints. The underside is greyish white with a small white neck bib. Schulze (2000) taxon #086 ‘Pagyda sp. 1’. Pagyda poeasalis (Walker, 1859: 717) and Pagyda lustralis (Snellen, 1890: 615) are very similar. As are some spp. such as Ecpyrrhorrhoe puralis South, 1901: 492; but that is more orange has FW with a slightly more serate and more linear antemedian line and with no distinct subtermenal sufusion.
