Taxonomy
Sabah, Serinsim, Ser 6. The holotype of Rhodoneura bracteata Hampson, 1893:363 is from India (Andaman Is.), (ms comb. n. to Hypolamprus (Shaffer 1992, LepIndex).
- Syn. Rhodoneura rufareta Hampson, 1893 TL (Sikkim).
Description
A species which can be confused with H. bastialis. It is usually grey brown with an overall reticulate pattern overlain with a web of distinctive linear marks. The FW is falcate. A diagonal line at the FW tip forks in the middle and runs posteriad delineating a sub terminal area, which encloses two more small, slightly elongate spots.
Similar Species
See Hypolamprus spp. 3 & 8. Two similar morphotypes occur in New Guinea. See H. bastialis for differences from that species and H. chrysothalama.
