Taxonomy
The male holotype of Eoophyla profalcatalis Jaenicke & Mey 2011: 43-45, is from Indonesia, N. Sumatra, (Sei Kopas, Kebun) It is in MfNH Berlin. Four male and female paratypes are designated from Sumatra.
Description
Typical ochreas brown and white Eoophyla patterning. Jaenicke & Mey (2011) give a full description of male and female including illustrations of genitalia, Pl. 10 figs. 2-4, Pl. 18 figs.1-8, Pl. 19 fig 8 & Pl. 24 figs 3,4.). In E. profalcatalis the centre of the vertex between antenna bases has short scales, this median scale-free spot visible above flat middle area. In E. falcatalis (Snellen, 1900 [1901]): 287. The centre of the vertex between antenna bases has long, yellow scales that extend frontally upwards to stretch across frons. Best determined by genitalic inspection. See other spp. in the E. ceratucha group.
