Taxonomy
The male lectotype of Oligostigma adjunctalis Snellen 1895: 158, pl. 6, figs 17, 18 from Central Java, (Tegal, Kemanglenis) is in RMNH, Leiden. Designated by Munroe et al., 1958: 67. Another similar specimen in MfNH Berlin #332105 is labelled Java (is this the holotype?).
Description
A large pale brown, fulvous and white sp. with typical Eoophyla markings. The fulvous brown is mostly on the margins of the FW with the angled median band and post median band enclosing a large triangle of mainly black and brown scales. There is a pale sub termenal band. The slightly falcate HW is largely fulvous and white with fulvous bands at the base, post medially and marginally separated by two white bands part edged by narrow black lines. The tornal area has 3or 4 small dark spots, some part ringed in white. Another darker specimen in MfNH Berlin is from Sumatra. E hirsuta, TL Philippines, is very similar
