Description
Wings silvery white with broad purple wing margins subtermenally are diffuse purple brown patches. This sp. can be distinguished from other Dausara spp by the fairly smooth FW PML. In other spp. the line may be smooth but shows a distinct bulge posteriorly (as in D. orionalis) Whereas In D. marginalis Moore, 1877: 618, and D. taliusalis Walker, 1859: 507 it is distinctly irregular (and undulating) In latiterminalis it runs almost straight whereas in other spp. there are distinct bulges. The triangular antemedian fascia of the male is the broadest of all Dausara spp. but is much narrower in the female.
The abdomen is blue grey as is the thorax which laterally, is covered by long white tegulae.
Yoshiyasu, (1995) gives a key to three Thai Dausara spp..
