Taxonomy
The holotype of Cymoriza marginalis Moore (1879-1888 [1888]): 211 is from India (Darjeeling). It is in the BMNH.
- syn. Musotima fulvalis Hampson 1893: 52: 180, pl.174 fig 26 female). Hampson does not give a TL in the text p. 180 but in his list p. 52) it is given as Kelani Valley [Sri Lanka]. The type label gives India, Meghalaya, Khasi Hills [Khasias]. The female type is in the BMNH;
- Syn? Ambia magnificalis Swinhoe, 1895: 299-300 T.L. India, Meghalaya, Cherrapunji [Cherra Punji] [= A. marginalis Moore (notation on LepIndex card)].
- Syn.? Ambia albiflavalis Hampson, 1917b: 462-463 TL Nigeria, Lagos.
Description
A predominately dark brown and fulvous sp. with looping white markings on both wings. The discal spots on all wings is white outlined by black brown.
