Taxonomy

Unknown crambid sp. 2. A single male specimen from Sabah (Kota Marudu) in the Schulze Coll.

Description

The FW is uniformly brown with a few black markings The termen is gently rounded with small black interneural spots. The postmedian fascia is represented by a curving line of blackish spots. there is a small circular black mark in the FW cell and a smaller mark medially.The HW is basally pale, grading to a darker grey brown towards the termen. The head bears long porrect furry palps The head, thorax and abdomen are pale brown. Schulze (2000) taxon #313 ‘Crambinae sp. 9’ This morphotype may be a Calamotropha spp.; possibly C. paludella Hübner, 1823-1824: pl. 68 figs 452-453.
