Taxonomy
Trichophysetis sp. 12 a single unnamed morphotype from Sabah (PHS) in the Schulze Coll.
Generic placement uncertain.
A few specimens of these brown speckled morphotypes have been seen from parts of SE Asia. Here they are informally grouped into the ‘Brown speckled Trichophysetis’ group.
Description
The body and both wings are an unmarked brown but it has fewer distinct darker brown spots on the wing margins and apices than Trichophysetis sp. 11. Schulze (2000) taxon #963, ‘Pyraustinae sp 75’.
