Taxonomy

Sufetula minimalis Fletcher, 1910 [1911]: 301, pl. 17 fig. 7, a short series in the Schulze Coll., from Sabah. A specimen in ITBC-Borneensis identified by D.J. Agassiz. TL Seychelles (Chagos Is.).

Description

A pale brown morphotype. The FW costa has a series of small white lunules and there is a dark discoidal spot. The HW has a small spot on the anterior margin. The termen of both wings is sinuous the FW being markedly falcate. The two sinuous white lines on the FW typically at the sub-termenal and antemedian positions in S. sunidesalis are rather obscure as is the similar sub-termenal white line on the HW. The antennae are brown with white annulations. similar to Sufetula sunidesalis Walker. Schulze (2000) taxon #644 (as Orphnophanes? sp. 4)
