Description
An attractive bright orange-brown species, usually flushed with pink and with faint overall reticulation. There is a diagonal line crossing both wings, running from the FW costa close to the apex and gently curving to the inner margin and continuing as a straight antemedian line across the the HW to the inner margin. Unlike S. dactylica there is no indistinct branch line to the middle of the FW tornus. Some specimens have a much more yellow appearance (e.g. a paratype in the NHM), others are broadly suffused with a deep pink.
