Taxonomy
C.J. Brooks specimen, Sarawak, Bidi. The holotype of Sonagara strigipennis Moore, 1882b:180, is from India (Sikkim).

ms. syn. n. and stat. n. as a ssp. S. strigipennis Moore, 1882b (Shaffer 1991, LepIndex).
Description
A yellowish brown sp. resembling a giant Striglina or a Telchines sp. but note the additional sub terminal line on the FW which Telchines lacks. The females are marginally larger with more yellow brown wing colouration and slightly more contrasting fasciation (RTS:127).
