Taxonomy
Scirpophaga sp. 1 is an unidentified female specimen in Drawer 113 of the ARC Tuaran Collection.
Description
The shining white, silky wings are lightly spotted with bluish grey patches and some of the FW veins of this worn specimen show as black. The anal scale tuft is mainly very pale white-grey. Scirpophaga nivella Fabricius, 1794 is very similar but the anal tuft scales of that species are usually orange with white bases.
