Taxonomy
The holotype of Margaronia acciusalis Walker, 1859: 977 was collected by A.R. Wallace from Sarawak. It is in the BMNH. A type #1196 recorded as a syntype [paratype?], also collected by Wallace, is in the Oxford U.M.N.H.
Description
The shining white FW has a dark brown costa which narrows towards the apex. The angular temenae of both wings has two thin brown lines separated by a narrow white fascia. There are triangular neural spots on proximal line of the FW. The fringes are white with patches of brown scales. Narrow irregular brown median and post median lines crosses both wings those of the HW angle to the tornus and the inner margin. The patagium is brown and the rather ‘waisted’ abdomen is ringed in brown and white.
