Taxonomy
Pseudopagyda sp. 4. A morphospecies encountered in Sabah, on Mount Kinabalu. Several specimens deposited in the ITBC Borneensis Coll.
Provisionally treated in Pseudopagyda Slamka 2013, 30-31.
Description
A pale fulvous orange species with darker orange lineation on both wings. The FW has a faint diagonal basal line, a curving ante-median line, a median line broken centrally and an almost straight post-median line which crosses two thirds of the wing. Subtermenally is a purplish brown serate line which loops interneurally between the veins forming a series of triangular neural marks. In the median area the base colour is suffused by with a purplish hue. The HW is similar in colour with a curved ante-median line, a straight median line and a wider fainter subtermenal band. The Head, thorax & abdomen are mainly orange. The latter having indistinct white intersegmental bands. The abdomen tip has a more distinct white band with a small black spot proximal to it. The female specimens are similar but has a shorter abdomen than the male and fewer purplish markings. The association of males and females is unconfirmed.
