Pseudopagyda sp. 1

Taxonomy

Pseudopagyda sp. 1. an unnamed specimen in the MfNH from Mount Kinabalu NP (Kundasan).

Provisionally treated in Pseudopagyda Slamka 2013, 30-31.

Description

An orange sp. with darker orange discontinuous lineation which show a dashed form. The FW has an antemedian and post-median and a sub apical line. The latter line curves towards the tornus. There is a diffuse spot and a smaller dot at the opposite ends of the discocellular area. The HW has a diffuse PML which loops proximally and a dotted sub-tornal line. The forelegs are white banded with orange. The Head, thorax & abdomen are mainly fulvous. The latter having white intersegmental bands. This may be Pionea [Pseudopagyda] ingentalis Caradja, 1925b: 366-367. TL: China, Guangzhou [Canton]. See Pseudopagyda sp. 2 which may be a less worn example of this morphospecies.
