Taxonomy
Pseudonoorda sp. 1. A morphotype separated out of a series of Noorda nigropunctalis Hampson in the Schulze Coll.
Description
This may be a var of Pseudonoorda nigropunctalis Hampson, 1899 but note the FW termenal margin is less indented than that sp. and it is slightly smaller than most specimens of that sp. A similar specimen from Brunei (Kuala Belalong Field Studies Centre (KBFSC)) was seen in the Roger Kitching coll. Schulze Taxon #657 (Partim). Another similar morphotype from Xishanbanna T.B.G. was photographed by Roger Kitchin. RTS:177 noted that of three named] Pitama spp. two occur in SE Asia. RTS: 177 refer to ‘an unamed species in the BMNH which is slightly smaller than Pitama hermesalis Walker and has a much darker yellow ground colour’ is this it?
