Taxonomy
The holotype of Botys turiusalis Walker, 1859: 690 from Sarawak is in Oxford UM. comb. n. to Placosaris Meyrick (Munroe & Mutuura, 1970: 148,149).
Description
Of several similar looking Placosaris spp. this sp. is readily distinguished by being more orange-brown and having a distinct orange blotch near the base of the FW. See RTS (1994: 180, pl. 30, fig.1) who figure a specimen from W. Malaysia (GTE).
