Taxonomy
The holotype of Cataclysta syagrusalis Walker, 1859c: 953 from Sarawak is in the Oxford UMNH. The type #918 was caught by A.R. Wallace.

Description
A species with pink-brown and white markings on both wings. The FW has an even-width orange subtermenal band bordered by narrow black lines and narrow white band proximally. There are also narrow white post-median and ante-median lines on the FW, The HW has three marginal eyespots on the HW which are bordered proximally by a narrow orange band. The frons is brown with white margins. The thorax is similar. The abdomen is a similar shade of brown with white intersegmental membranes.
