Densely speckled brown black occupies the centre of both wings, that of the HW separated by a serrate black & white subtermenal lines from four, large eyespots, on the wing margin. See other Nymphicula spp. Nymphicula drusiusalis, N. kinabaluensis, N. saigusai, Nymphicula sp. 2, 4 & 7 are similar.Note the white post median patch from the FW costa is different in N. kinabaluensis, Nymphicula sp. 2 and N. kinabaluensis have five eyespots. N. saigusai Yoshiyasu (1987) is very similar with four eyespots but differs in its wing venation and the shape of the FW tornal marking.
