Taxonomy

The male holotype of Cataclysta drusiusalis Walker 1859c: 450. TL Sarawak. The type no 903 collected by A. R. Wallace is in the Oxford U.M.N.H. comb. n. to Nymphicula (Speidel, 1989: 534).

Description

The wing pattern is very similar to most other Nymphicula spp. with fulvous-orange and pale patterning. The FW and HW median area is thinly speckled with grey and black scales. On the HW margin this is bordered by four black eyespots, some with blue ‘pupils’.
