Description

This morphotype differs from most of the other Noctuelia spp. in having pale colours. The distal areas of the wings are largely white and are almost translucent. The FW and HW base are an off white with pale brown patches. There is a broad median band, pale purplish on the FW and a bright orange on the HW. The FW has an obvious U-shaped black line delineating a large translucen ante-median area towards the costa.
