Taxonomy

The holotype of Botys illectalis Walker 1859: 658 is from W. Malaysia (Perak).

Isocentris illectalis (Walker) Meyrick, 166. nec Walker, 1859: Viette 1949: 324, misident. = H. variabilis Clarke 1971: 61-63 pl. 61, fig 10g.

  • Isocentris unicolor Warren 1895: 472. TL Australia (Q) was removed from syn. by Sutrisno & Horak (2003).

Description

This sp. is more evenly pale coloured and the linear markings are more sharply defined and continuous than in Hyalobathra coenostolalis Snellen. Hyalobathra sp, 2 may be a var. where the FW basal line is evenly curved, not angled centrally towards the FW tornus. See H. archeleuca Meyrick, 1885 which is similar but is less distinctly marked with dotted fasciae.
