Description
Sutrisno & Horak (2003) revised the Australian spp. of Hyalobathra Meyrick based on adult morphology and re-described this species. ‘Hyalobathra’ aequalis (Lederer) and ‘H.’ brevialis (Walker), were excluded from Hyalobathra but could not be assigned to any other genus. See H. illectalis Walker 1859 which is similar. A specimen from Australia (NSW) has been DNA barcoded in BOLD: The Barcode of Life Data System (Sample ID 10 ANIC-10030).
