Taxonomy
Hoploscopa sp. 4. This is a rather worn, unnamed morphotype nr. Hoploscopa cynodonta Léger & Nuss, 2020. It is from Sabah, Malua Forest Reserve and is in the SLS coll.
Description
A pale chestnut-brown and white sp. FW with a broad brown terminal band. The FW base has two large pale patches extending from the subcostal area at the median & post median positions, containing some red blotches in the orbicular and reniform areas of the FW cell. The HW is unmarked chestnut brown. Compared with Hoploscopa cynodonta, it appears to lack the broad, diagonal post-median band of and there is much less red spotting.
