Description
This species is distinctive and has been DNA sequenced. The FW is brown with a white submarginal line. There is an indistinct dark brown basal streak which ends at a small white spot of specialised scales. The HW is a very pale brownish grey slightly suffused with darker brown near the apex. Note the long flagellum on the long porrect palps. Léger et al. (2020, Figs 4, 46, 87) describe and illustrate the male and female genitalia. In the male genitalia, the dorsal margin of the valva is protruded, the juxta displays two conspicuous tips and the phallus bears an anvil-shaped cornutus. In female genitalia, the antrum is membranous and forms a rounded pouch. Shown in POB Vol. 2 plates as Microchilo? sp. 6, pl. 6 fig. 8
