Taxonomy

Holotype N.Thailand, Chiang Mai, Doi Inthanon. The male holotype of Herdonia ochracea, Inoue 2001: 308-309, fig’d) from N. Thailand (Doi Inthanon), the only recorded specimen is in the NHM (Mi7449).

Description

The FW postmedian fascia is most obvious at the costa, where it forms short blackish lines. The HW has the postmedian and submarginal fasciae delimited by double blackish brown lines. Centrally these two ochreous bands have traces of a partial central line. The frons is a dark grey-brown, crown dark grey, the palpi are ochreous brown. The patagium is brownish black and the tegulae dark grey mixed with whitish scales. The male antennal lamellae are a little shorter than the shaft diameter.

Similar Species

Termen is more strongly gibbous than in H. papuensis (Warren, 1907: 102) whose patterning is similar.
