Taxonomy
Hendecasis sp. 1. A single specimen in the Schulze Coll. near Trichophysetis umbrifusalis Hampson 1912a, from PHS.
The generic concepts represented by Trichophysetis (Meyrick 1884: 287) and Hendecasis Hampson, (1896: 140) are uncertain.
Description
A pale cream sp. with faint curving median and ante-median lines. The median line is partly double. Where the ante median line meets the FW costa there is a black spot and two similar spots mark where the median and antemedian lines reach the anal margin of the HW. Towards the HW tornus there is a dark marginal shading. There are dark spots on the base of the white abdomen. A very similar sp. from GTE is in the HSB-Coll but that is more distinctly lineated. Schulze (2000) taxon #966.
Hendecasis sp. 2 has an extra black spot centrally on the antemedian line.
