Taxonomy

Hemopsis sp. 3. are an un-named specimens from Sabah, Mt. Kinabalu, KML & PHS in the ITBC Borneensis collection and the Schulze Coll.. A similar morphotype, taxon #3841, from Hill seasonal Forest, in China (Yunan, nr. Bubbeng, 900m) was recorded by Ashton et al. (2015. 2016).

Description

Dark shiny brown with pale yellow patches in fresh specimens but later the yellow fades to white. The head, thorax and abdomen are dull brown the latter with pale intersegmental rings. Schulze (2000) taxon #285. ‘Pyraustinae sp. 7’,   See Hemopsis sp. 1. & sp. 2.
