Description
A handsome dark brown species with mainly yellow median fasciae. On the HW they form a yellow band across the middle of the wings. Illustrated in Wang & Spiedel (2000: 176). The genus Hemopsis contains many undescribed or poorly designated spp. and because of confusion over identitification the distribution of most named spp. need re-assessment. Several specimens have been dNA sequenced and images are on the BOLD taxonomy browser (. See other Hemopsis spp.
