Taxonomy
The type of Glaucocharis elegantella Shaffer-Gaskin MS* from Brunei, (Bukit Pagon, Ulu Temburong) is in the BMNH.
Description
As in all Glaucocharis spp. the FW is slightly bifalcate. It is ochreous with darker orange streaks and a speckling of darker scales with a crescentic black discal spot. It is crossed by two dark edged pale lines in the antemedian and postmedian areas. A series of short grey-blue lines angle outwards from the FW costa. The termen has indistinct black spotting but two above the tornus are larger and more prominent. The HW is mainly white but it has a darker marginal line and a long pale fringes.
