Description
A widely distributed sp. As in all Glaucocharis spp. the FW is slightly bifalcate. the FW is mottled in blackish-grey, white and purplish and tinged with orange in parts. The apex is orange with a blue line. There is a curving, pale, rather sinuous subtermenal line edged with grey. and a dark angled antemedian line. There is an elongate, pale orange patch in the discal area. The HW is white but suffused with black towards the apex. The mainly ochreous and white abdomen is ringed with purple grey bands. The shape of the ante-median line and the elongate, pale orange patch of the FW and the lack of two dark spots on the FW margin serves to distinguish it from G. fuscobasella.
