Taxonomy
Filodes? sp. 1 an unnamed morphospecies from Sabah (KML). Generic placement uncertain.
Initially placed in Filodes because of its colouring and its extremely long antennae but now placement is totally unknown; possibly a mustimid.
Description
The FW is pale distally, but the pale ochreous colour is extensively speckled with black scales mostly towards the base. There are faint subtermenal lines and a faint orange patch on the post-median subcosta. The most distinctive mark is a large round black spot. The HW also has a central black spot but has concentric colour bands parallel to the termen on a pale backgound speckled with lines of purple-grey scales. The subtermenal band is bright orange then towards the base are two broad diffuse dark brown bands one medially and the other post-basally. The HW has long pale cillia arrising from two narrow black lines.
