Taxonomy
The female holotype of Cataclysta ochripicta Moore, [1888] 1887: 209 is in the MfNH, Berlin. It is from India ([Meghalaya], Cherra Punji). Stat. rev. as a good sp., comb. n. to Eoophyla (Yoshiyasu 1987).

Description
See the very similar E. ceratucha (Meyrick, 1894). Yoshiyasu (1989) re-describes the sp. and illustrates the male and female genitalia. It has close affinities to E. simplicialis Snellen, 1876 from Thailand and Indonesia. The two are best distinguished by genitalia. However Yoshiyasu (1989) lists minor differences of appearance.
