Taxonomy
The male holotype of Eoophyla liwaguensis Mey 2009 is from Sabah (Mount Kinabalu N.P., Park HQ, Silau-silau River). It is in the MfNH Berlin. Paratypes are there and FRC Sepilok. Genitalia slide Mey 06/09 MfNH-Berlin.
Description
Slightly sexually dimorphic with typical Eoophyla patterning in yellow, fulvous and white. The HW has two tornal eye spots. The male has a costal notch on its FW like the closely related E. becki Mey 2009. The genitalia are illustrated by Mey (2009 (m. figs. 1-4; f. fig. 17)) The males are similar to E. becki and are distinctive by the dilated tips of the spines of the valva. Schulze (2000) Taxon #006, from PHS from lowland primary and disturbed forest and cultivated areas. 480-600m is probably this sp.. and his male & female are llustrated here.
