Taxonomy

The holotype of Eoophyla becki Mey 2009: 102, 103, Fig. 25S is from Sabah, (Mt. Kinabalu NP, Park HQ, Liwagu River) is in the MfNH, Berlin. Two specimens from Sabah, also from Mt. Kinabalu, are in the FRC (Sabah, Sepilok).

Description

This sp. has a pale ochreous wing colour and a FW with distinctive sigmoid dark brown post median fascia and two small eyespots on the slightly falcate HW. The specimens illustrated are very much larger than a similar specimen from Sabah, Kundasang, Mile 36, seen in the FRC Sepilok Coll., which had a FW length of 10.5mm.
