Taxonomy

The holotype of Nymphula nigralbalis Caradja, 1925: 329 is from China, Guangdong, (Lianping [Lienping]). Comb. n. to Cyrtogramme (Yoshiyasu 1985: 25.)

Re-instated as a good sp. from a ssp. of Elophila difflualis Snellen, 1882 Comb. Rev. (Speidel, 1984).

Comb. n. to Elophila Hübner (Yoshiyasu (1987) Microlepid. Thailand 1:168.).

Description

Once regarded as a ssp. of Elophila difflualis Snellen, 1882 and can be distinguished by its more angular AMN and the three shorter sickle-like setae on the valval ampulla (Yoshiyasu, 1987). Yoshiyasu illustrates the sp. and includes it in a key to Thai Elophila spp. In LepIndex as Cyrtogramme. Photo of male in Yen (2004: 549: fig. 4. B).
