Taxonomy
Ecpyrrhorrhoe? sp. 2 is a morphotype seen and photographed in Sabah, Mt. Kinabalu, KML. originally thought to be Ecpyrrhorrhoe rubiginalis (Hübner, 1796: 22, pl. 12 fig. 79.) but that variable species has a simpler patterning. We now consider it may be Paliga rubicundalis Warren, 1896: 96.
Description
A dark brownish red and yellow mottled species. We now consider it may be Paliga rubicundalis Warren, 1896: 96. See Robinson et al. (1995 Plate 124 fig. 5).
