Taxonomy
The holotype of Botys celatalis Walker, 1859: 657 from Sri Lanka is in the BMNH.

Description
A bright orange-brown sp. faintly marked with darker orange irregular lineation and with patchy subtermenal shading. The frons is white but the sides of the head, and the thorax and abdomen are fulvous, the latter with pale intersegmental bands. The legs are mainly white.
Life History
Listed as feeding on Callicarpa arborea, C. macrophylla, C. pedunculata (Verbenaceae) & Rhynchosia hirta (Fabaceae) by Robinson et al. (2001).
