Taxonomy
Cydalima sp. 7 is an unnamed male specimen in the FRC Insect Museum, Sepilok, close to Cydalima warrenalis Swinhoe (of which it is probably a var.), Here we treat it as Cydalima in the Cydalima warrenalis group.
Description
A shining silvery specimen very close to Cydalima warrenalis Swinhoe but with less distinct termenal neural spots The FW has a small circular spot medially near the posterior margin In addition there is a small patch medially extending to a stigma in the FW cell. The HW subtermenal band is almost straight. It has few distinct punctae on the FW subcosta unlike the superficially similar Cydalima sp. 6 which is more ochreous. See C. warrenalis.
