Taxonomy
Cyalima sp. 5 is an unnamed morphotype in the HSB Coll. from W, Malaysia (GTE). Here we treat it as Cydalima in the Cydalima diaphanalis group.
Description
A shining silvery white rather delicate morphospecies with the anterior veins of the FW picked out in dark brown. The subtermenal area is white rather than fulvous or brown as in many Cydalima spp. It has a distinctive series of dark interneural spots on both termenae. Compared with Cydalima sp 3 the FW veins C & Sc run parallel almost to the costa rather than converging at the apex, but that morpho type also has inter-neural spots.
