Taxonomy
Coptobasis sp. 10. Specimens from Sabah, Danum Valley in the SLS Coll.
Description
A slightly glossy dark brown sp. with a purple sheen. Poorly marked but two diffuse purplish blotches indicate the FW cell. Note the base of the antennae is inflated and the base of the scape has a pair of cloven protrusions projecting forwards over the pedicel. The antennae are less modified and different from C. mesospectralis which it closely resembles. It is not known if it has a pectoral collar The legs are pale with fawn markings. Coptobasis sp. 1 has a pale patch in the discocellular area of the FW.
