Taxonomy
The female holotype of Botys ogoalis Walker 1859: 689 from Sarawak is in the UM Oxford. The type number 1097 was collected by A. R. Wallace. As Syllepte in LepIndex & Globiz.

Description
A coppery brown species with indistinct darker post median lines on both wings. The FW has a pair of darker stigmata in the discocellular area. Distal to the PML on the FW is an indistinct pale coronal mark. The body is entirely brown dorsally. The underside is paler including parts of the wings.
