Taxonomy
The holotype of Botys monochromalis Walker 1865 [1866]: 1419, The type #948 collected by A.R. Wallace from Sulawesi (Sula), is in the Oxford U.M.N.H.
Description
A shiny coppery or puple tinged, blackish brown sp. with totally obsolete wings. The wings are similar both sides. The head thorax and abdomen underneath are a very pale fawn. The freshest specimens are glossy black above.
See C. sulcialis (Walker, 1858) which is larger less dark with indistinct spots near the FW cell. The FW has more pointed FW apices.
