Taxonomy
Conogethes sp. 8. A single specimen from Sabah, PHS in the Schulze Coll. and three specimens in the SLS coll. from Sabah, Imbak Canyon C. A. & Malua F.R..
Description
The spotting pattern is superficially similar to Conogethes nicippealis Walker (1859e: 999), C. parvipunctalis (Inoue & Yamanaka, 2006: 87-88, figs 6, 14, 17, 17a) and C. evaxalis (Walker 1859e: 995) but the specimens do not closely agree with any of those spp.
A very faint darker suffusion is present on the subcosta and central areas of the FW on the FW. Schulze (2000) taxon # 239 ‘Conogethes sp. 8’ & Whitaker Kitching taxon #615.
