Taxonomy
Kalimantan, Pulo Laut. The type of Pharambara sphoraria Swinhoe, 1892:18, pl. 1 fig. 17 from India (Khasi Hills, Cherapunji) is in the NHM (Mi7358). Dalla Torre (1914:22) placed this species into synonomy with H.emblicalis Moore, [1888] 1887 but that is an error. Ms. comb. n. to Collinsa (RTS:133) and ms. stat. rev. (Shaffer, 1992 LepIndex).

Description
The pattern and orange and yellow colours of this species are unmistakable. The Un of FW costa has ‘tiger stripes’. Note the HW of H. sphoraria has a broad dark basal area and a lighter yellow-brown subterminal area.
Similar Species
Collinsa spp. 11 & 16 and C. hyphaema West 1932 (Brixia) from Japan (Komatsu) are very similar.
