Taxonomy

W. Malaysia, GTE. The holotype of Pharambara decoratalis Warren, 1896a:209 from Meghalaya (Khasia Hills) is in the NHM (Mi7359). comb. n. to Collinsa (RTS: 133).

Description

One of the most attractive Collinsa spp. with areas of mottled orange-brown, pinkish-brown and dark brown on the FW. The distal part of the FW is without the darker suffusion which runs as a streak across the wing from the coastal base to the termen. Note the two groups of longitudinal black and white streaks crossing the course of the FW R vein. A reticulated pattern in darker brown is present on parts of the HW and there is a dark line at the base of the abdomen.

Collinsa sp. 4 which is very similar, may be a Bornean ssp. of C. decoratalis.
